THE BRIEFING

About this course

The FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certification Course at Flight Innovation is a comprehensive 200-hour professional training program designed to prepare students for a career in airline operations and for the FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certification process. Aircraft Dispatchers work alongside airline pilots and operations teams to plan, monitor, and safely manage flights. They evaluate weather, aircraft performance, airport conditions, routing, fuel requirements, regulatory requirements, and operational risks before and during each flight. In airline operations, the dispatcher plays a critical role in operational control and shares responsibility for the safe planning and continuation of a flight with the Pilot in Command. Our program combines regulatory knowledge with practical, real-world airline dispatch training. Students learn how professional dispatchers analyze operational information, make time-critical decisions, build flight plans, respond to changing conditions, and coordinate flights within a modern airline environment. Upon successful completion of the approved course and applicable FAA testing requirements, eligible graduates may obtain the FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate. This program is designed for individuals seeking a career in airline operations, including those entering aviation for the first time as well as pilots, airline employees, military personnel, and other aviation professionals who want to expand their qualifications. Flight Innovation's goal is to provide students with the knowledge, practical skills, and operational mindset needed not only to earn an Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate, but also to successfully transition into the professional airline environment.
