Criteria for Requesting a Recommendation Letter

At Flight Innovation Inc., we are committed to supporting students in their career paths by providing meaningful recommendation letters. However, to ensure that these letters truly reflect a student’s preparedness and potential, we have established specific criteria that must be met.

Below are the key expectations students should meet before requesting a recommendation letter.

Criteria

1. Academic Performance

Students should maintain a high level of academic achievement throughout the course. This includes consistently meeting or exceeding the required proficiency standards on exams and assessments. A strong academic record demonstrates readiness for the next step in your aviation career.

2. Attendance and Punctuality

Regular attendance and punctuality are essential indicators of professionalism. Students who have shown consistent dedication to attending class and meeting deadlines are more likely to receive a recommendation. This also aligns with the FAA’s expectations for dispatcher training.

3. Class Participation and Engagement

Active participation in class discussions and a demonstrated interest in aviation are key qualities we look for. Students who regularly engage with the course material, contribute to discussions, and show a genuine interest in learning are prime candidates for a recommendation.

4. Professional Conduct

Throughout the course, students are expected to maintain a level of professionalism that mirrors industry standards. This includes respecting deadlines, collaborating with peers, and adhering to the school's code of conduct. Professional behavior both in and out of the classroom will play a significant role in your eligibility for a recommendation.

5. Commitment to Improvement

We value students who have shown a commitment to improving over time. Whether you faced challenges early on or struggled with specific areas, your ability to overcome these obstacles and demonstrate progress is something we recognize and appreciate.

How to Request a Recommendation

If you believe you meet the above criteria, you may request a recommendation letter by providing the following:

  • A clear purpose for the recommendation (e.g., job application, further studies)

  • Any relevant details about the position or opportunity

  • The deadline for submission

Please ensure you meet the expectations outlined above before making your request. Our goal is to provide recommendations that genuinely reflect a student’s strengths and potential for success in the aviation industry.
